We recently flew into London Heathrow Airport, so decided to rent a car from Avis....WOW how easy the online reservation was, how easy and fast at the desk to get the rental processed. We were taken on a shuttle bus to the parking lot...the nice man even loaded and unloaded our cases. The service was fast, efficient and friendly. The car was clean and ecomomical. Reserved on Avis.com, when arrived FT Lauderdale airport the agent could not find my reservations, took 5 minutes to finally located my reservation. Slow and ineffective service.

Avis is absolutely rotten. I recently rented a car through price line. When I received the car, it had...suspicious...white stains on the seat, the front and rear bumper was damaged and grease marks all over it. On top of that, the woman at the check out desk had the nastiest attitude on the planet. As a parting shot, they stole my cellphone (I left it in the car for two minutes and that was more than enough time for their thieving personnel to steal it and turn it off so that it wouldn't ring). Of course, I complained and they offered a coupon for a few pennies off on my next rental. As if I'll EVER rent anything from this rotten company again... If you visit Raleigh NC - remember my experience when renting a car at the Avis airport office.
