Pros: Wonderful tribute to Elvis; great exhibits. Cons: I didn't find the staff friendly.
In order to review the Graceland Mansion I would be remiss to not tell you about the Graceland Platinum Tour. Rather than putting this in a separate category or writing about his airplanes separately I will give you a brief overview of how you can ...
Pros: histical, interesting, take a look into Elvis' world Cons: tickets are high
I have been recently thinking back to the weekend that my husband and I spent in Memphis, TN. I had such a wonderful time that I want to go back and take our kids with us. Not long ago I wrote my review on T

Pros: History oozes from this place Cons: The tacky gift shops
Being a big Elvis fan, and a huge fan of pleasure travel, it was only a matter of time until these two loves came together. This past summer my girlfriend and I headed off to the south, we started in Nashville, then headed to Memphis. Why Memphis? ...
Pros: It's none to far from Rendezvous Ribs: Best BBQ in the South. Cons: Oh the humanity! So much poly doubleknit, stretched over so much a.s.s.
I intended to post this on the 25th Anniversary of Elvis Presleys death, August 17, 2002, but I was on vacation, and then I forgot I had written it, being as Id been drinking when it got wrote. I think Elvis would understand.

Pros: There is only one Graceland. Cons: It's not in Florida where I live.
One of the things in my life I will never regret is visiting Elvis's home, Graceland. It is a southern style home with white columns and wide steps that have statues of lions and white wrought iron seats at either side of the steps. During our ...
Pros: A slice of Americana! Cons: Not exactly "easy on the eyes"...
Let me tell you, I''ve never been a big fan of Elvis' music (except maybe the really bad stuff from his movies and In the Ghetto); however, when the opportunity arose to visit the culturally mandatory pitstop that is Graceland, I jumped at ...
Pros: You won't see anything like this anywhere else. Cons: Often crowded and hot.
I'm not sure what I could say that hasn't been said many times before. But, if you're interested in Elvis, or just want to have a quintessentially American experience, spend a few hours at Graceland. Here, you can see how Elvis lived, how he traveled, ...
Pros: It something that every Elvis fan should see. Cons: Once you leave the mansion, you can't go back in again.
On our way home from a trip we decided to stop in at Graceland. We had been wanting to go there for some time but never did. You don't need reservations (like some books tell you you do). We took the platinum tour. If you have AAA, make sure you ...
They make money hand over fist shuttling people to the mansion! Wow. The shuttles were running constantly, filled with people who had forked over $20 each or more. We opted for the package where you could also see the airplanes and cars and a few other museums. They are very good about giving AAA and other discounts.
They give you a headset for the audio tour, and that's the only tour there is. As a result, when you get there you become part of a herd of silent people who are listening to their headphones and not paying attention to where they are going.
The home itself is not as grand as I expected. The information was interesting, though.
They do make him out to be a saint. It's kind of funny.
We were glad we went, as it is a part of the American experience.
Pros: Well organized, smoothly flowing through exhibits. New museums and shops to explore. Cons: Nothing, it's all good
My first tour in 9 years, and better than ever. The new areas they opened allow you to feel like you are peeping into the real life of Elvis and his family. Well organized and smoothly run, they move you through the exhibits like clockwork. Plenty of places for my elderly mother to rest while I zoomed around the staging area. Our whole family enjoyed it.
