Pros:Faster shut down, compatility wizard, and Syc Center for mobile devices. Cons:Expensive, needs fast cpu, more memory, and more powerful video card.
I own PCs and laptops running Vista, Windows XP Pro, and Leopard. I am a geek who performs PC maintenance and IST support. Regarding Vista first the good points. Commendably in Vista, the All Programs list now show an expandable ...
Pros: stylish, new, very secure and stable compared to XP Cons: needs a lot of RAM and CPU power to run
Although this operating system is very controversial I find it to suit my needs for whatever I am doing. Since most new computers now come with Vista, there will be many people that will be forced to make the switch to this new operating system. Vista ...
Pros: Nice re-branding of the GUI, finding and working with files is easier. Cons: Too much hardware is not compatible, and demands a lot more resources.
I've been using Windows Vista for about one year, and found it to be somewhat of a step forward and somewhat of a step backwards from its predecessor, Windows XP. The new built in technology within Vista makes the operating the most secure version of ...
Pros: Many improvements, new features, stable, nice GUI, supports most hardware Cons: Nothing much, may take some getting used to
Windows Vista has got to be one of the best operating systems Microsoft delivered yet. It offers many new improvements over XP and introduces widgets, with many new ones that you can download. The GUI is much nicer over previous versions of Windows and ...
Pros: Purchase of Vista helps: Bill Gates get richer.
Intel get richer.
Nvidia get richer. Cons: Go ahead, buy Vista, I DARE you, you'll see..........
This "operating system" is a disaster in 0's and 1's... From the moment you click this monstrosity on you know you've made a mistake. I was forced into buying this thing because supposedly the state of the art notebook I purchased would not run ...
Pros: windows vista -ultimate-premium-buisness Cons: windows vista home basics
Windows Vista has been the best opearating system for me yet. Even though windows vista home basic is the worst opearating system based on its lack of services and any operating system above this mark is more than good. I say this because i am a microsoft certified worker.
Pros: Many Features that just work. Excellent x64/32 bit, so all your software will work. Cons: You need a newer pc, and the OS is more expensive than in the past.
This is the best OS Ever to be available to the general public. It requires a newer system, and you should get the 64 bit version as this makes better use of the system components. So many features that just work, minimal configuration needed out of the box compared with other OSes, especially those linux variants. I know the linux zealots will be after me for that, but its the truth.
More devices are being supported with Vista x64 drivers every month. Works great with the internet and a broadband connection, and media center for giving you the features of a DVR is a great plus. There are many ways to extend that as well so you can watch recorded shows on your PC in other tv's in your house. Cool!
All things considered this is one OS I could recommend to my technically challenged mother, as well as my gadget freak brother who wants to connect everything. You will like it.
Pros: Direct x 10, Speed Stability Cons: Price, Install space
Vista is an either Love it or Hate it OS, So far I love it. I've been building Computers since 1995 and this will be the first OS I Have used that I haven't let Microsoft get to Service pack 2 on.
With Direct x 10 on Vista it makes Graphics look better and Video seems to work better also. Drivers are finally up to snuff now, Not like it was when it was first released when driver support was scarce at best.
My real problem with it so far was just the amount of space that it takes up on install. The requirements are for 15gbs to be free for install. I can see that being an issue for some people with lower end machines.
