Pros: Cool style, open top, surprising comfort, strong performance, lots of options Cons: poor fuel economy, windshield prone to cracks. The Bottom Line: Excellent for people who want to get out and do things, anywhere! Cool styling, tons of options, bullet-proof driveline.
INTRO
In Sept. 2002 I packed up my 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport and drove from Ohio to Colorado to visit my friend, who owns a 2002 Wrangler Sport. After spending a full week in his Jeep, covering hundreds of miles, I thought...

Pros: Great fun, open air, handles & rides nicely, Its a jeep thing. Cons: Bad Gas Mileage. NO STORAGE. Wife and friends keep stealing it for themselves. The Bottom Line: if your looking for cush & luxury forget it. If your looking for fun with your friends, kids, dogs, and a reason to stay home from work, ITS FOR YOU!!!
OK, i have had 5 Grand Cherokeess since 93, and was looking for a change. The Wrangler always seemed a bit crude for me, but with the changes in 97 it has become much more mainstream. I guess all I needed was a dashboard instead of steel plate with a...

Pros: FUN,FUN,FUN to drive, goes anywhere(almost) Cons: Havent found anything to complain about yet. The Bottom Line: Fun to Drive and other people wish they had one.
This is the first vehicle I have ever owned that wasnt a truck. I like many people out there had a serious case of JEEP ENVY. You really can see this from the lots of looks you get while driving these things around. It takes a certain mindset to really...

Pros: Adorable, Sporty, 4WD, Cons: bumpy and noisy The Bottom Line: A rough and tumble vehicle that is tons of fun for the right people
This car is not for everyone. Having said that, I absolutely love this car! Note: This review is written by a girl, so don't expect too much mechanical input from me. I wanted a Jeep Wrangler for about a year before I bought one. I had a few ...

Pros: none Cons: Not reliable, cheaply made, terrible service people. The Bottom Line: Buy something more reliable!!!
I leased a new 2002 Wrangler. It has had nothing but problems. First, when I would turn the key to start the engine, about 20% of the time nothing happened. I turned it in to the dealer to get fixed. They said they couldn't duplicate the problem so they ...

Pros: Compact, 4x4 Cons: Cold in Winter, Hot in Summer, Noisy, No Room, Uncomfortable, Windshield Freq Cracks, Gas Mileage... The Bottom Line: Most Miserable Vehicle I have EVER Owned
This is the worst vehicle I have ever owned. It is nothing more than a highway permitted 4-wheeler. There is no space for anything, the windshield is vertical and cracks frequently, it is cold in the winter and takes about 30 minutes to warm up...and ...

Pros: Better handling and quieter than I expected Cons: American made, poor gas mileage, horrible stock speakers, poor customer service The Bottom Line: This vehicle is too much fun. I love it more each time I drive it. Great for the city, country, mountains and beach.
I have had my jeep for only 3 weeks now and I have to say that every time I climb into it or look at it, I love it even more. Sure there are some drawbacks...no storage, poor gas mileage, handling etc. but like everyone says, it's a Jeep! I was worried...

Pros: Driving off pavement Cons: Driving on pavement The Bottom Line: This vehicle has no business being anywhere near pavement. Buy it for outback expeditions, not for your ego.
Ok, I admit it... I have that disease that makes me want to buy jeeps. Sure, they are unreliable, impractical and inefficient, but there is an undeniable draw to them. My fourth jeep is a bone stock four cyl. painted "Moab colored" amber fire. It is a...

Pros: Power, the Wrangler society, and it is a ton of fun to drive Cons: Drinks a little too much gas The Bottom Line: This is a fun ride. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great vehicle.
I just bought my first Jeep, the Wrangler X. It was a wonderful day! I absolutely love this vehicle! I have always wanted a Wrangler, and now I finally own one.
The tough sounding 4.0 really delivers the power and the X has a surprising...

Pros: Impressive ride and handling. Exterior design simple and esthetically pleasing. Front seating very comfortable. Cons: It's a "Chrysler thing." Fit/finish dubious. Engine is old-design and mechanically feels loose. The Bottom Line: Although material craftsmanship might become an issue, it sure is one heck of a fun vehicle (it's not a car) to regularly drive and play with!
Very impressed with the ride and handling of the updated Wrangler. Recently purchased the 2002 "X" model soft-top with the standard six-cylinder (190 HP) manual trans. More than enough power and room to comfortably propel 2 adults, 1 dog, and limited...

Pros: You want to become the kind of person your Jeep thinks you are. Cons: Too numerous to mention The Bottom Line: The Jeep Wrangler is the vehicle you always wanted and driving one you feel like the person you always wanted to be.
I'm on my third Jeep. I just bought a 2002 Wrangler Apex. It is impractical, boxy, small, uncomfortable, windy, cold in the winter, not at ALL for highway driving, barely has room for 3 bags of groceries, you can't hear the radio and you'll feel...

Pros: Offroad use, strong engine Cons: On road use, gas milage, windsheild design. The Bottom Line: Be truthful with your self and make sure you really NEED what you are looking into buying. Gas aint going to get cheaper as the years roll on.
While some bash the car for its fuel efficiency, if you are buying this car with the mind set that you can not go more than 300 miles with out a 18 gal fill up (19 gal tank) you will be ok. However I will a test that the Windshield is prone to getting ...

Pros: Fun, exciting, sporty, eye-catching, versatile, inventive, unisex, great stereo Cons: gas guzzler, small, on the slower side, expensive hard-top The Bottom Line: I think that someone who wants a great first car or a car that is fun and exciting should definitely purchase this vehicle.
I just recently placed my feet inside the Jeep Wrangler Sport and boy was I surprised. I had ridden in the passenger seat before, but never driven one. WHAT A BLAST! Even though the gas goes through the tank in the turn of the key, playing with this...

Pros: Good mileage for a 4x4 (if you get the right options). FUN! Cons: Soft top a tad noisy still. CD player skips on bumps. The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to anyone, it is a great ride.
Well, this is my first jeep, and wow, I love this thing. I am the kinda guy who likes his toys still, and this is a great toy, and still practical. Many complain about the gas mileage, but I have no problems. I average about 20 mpg, which is great for...

Pros: top down, doors off Cons: poor quality, 14 mpg average gas mileage and dealing with Chrysler The Bottom Line: At best, a Jeep makes a fun 2nd or 3rd vehicle for the weekend. Save your money and buy a used one.
Having gone through several used cars, I finally bit the bullet and shelled out roughly $22,000 for a brand new 2002 Wrangler X model. It had everything I was looking for: 4WD for the winter, removable top for the summer and enough horsepower(190) for eve ...
