The Ideal system(s) for 1500-2000bucks.

The Bottom Line Best deals, in my humble epinion, in this price range listed here.
This epinion is intended to be a "this is what you want," rather than a technical primer on the pc. So, anyway, if you're looking for a hardware dictionary, this is not it. Other epinioners and myself have covered the detail work before, so this is purely what I would buy given the 1500-2000 limits.

I would recommend going with Windows 98SE over Millenium for now, as there are still a lot of bugs to work out.
I would make sure any choice I looked at didn't skimp on the warranty and that the Hard Drive was a major brand(personally, I prefer Western Digital). Please read the other articles in this section before a purchase, this is just a recommendation of what I would look for in a particular purchase as of June 6, 2001. Thanks for reading.
