My history goes back many years with the University when my dad was a teacher. The college was small but very "Homey." It took me many years to get my degree since I worked days but it was a fun time and the professors were great to work with. I felt a part of the University even as a non-trad. I have served on the Alumni Board since 1998 and am proud to be a part of the school. You have to give to receive and I've been very fortunate. The University has given me great friends, a good education, great support and a feeling of belonging. Then you throw in all the sporting activities and you end up with many enjoyable hours. What a wonderful place to be a part of. Glad you are with us for the ride!

Pros: Black Hills State University provides a quality education in a quality community.
Cons: Black Hills State University should be allowed to offer more Master's Programs.

Black Hills State University is a great place to get a quality education! The high caliber of school with outstanding students, faculty, and graduates testify to the strength of the school. Graduates include several CEO's, leading educators, attorneys, doctors, finance and banking executives, and acclaimed athletes. Several instructors and administrators have been recognized nationally for excellence. Combine the above with the "community" feeling prevalent at BHSU, and you can understand that an education received at BHSU is a great investment in your future. My education was received many years ago at BHSU, but I continue to choose to be active in both the university and the community. It was a great investment for me!
