Details: Over 90% of the students at public Fort Hays State University hail from the state of Kansas. A good number enroll in the elementary education and nursing programs, and FHSU also offers an engineering program in association with Kansas State and Kansas University. The Sternberg Museum boasts hundreds of historic photographs highlighting the activities of George Custer, Buffalo Bill Cody, Wild Bill Hickock, and other frontier lengends who lived in the city of Hays.
