Pros: Gorgeous campus. Great catering. Good restaurants nearby. Cons: small town
I just came back from cousin's graduation from Lynchburg College. I have nothing to say about the school itself, so if that's what you're looking for, tune out. However, if you're looking for some food/accommodation recommendations, I'm pleased to help....

Pros: Beautiful setting, Excellent Sudent to Faculty ratio, Financial Aid Cons: Little name recognition
LC is a great little school situated in the mountains of SW Virginia. The school has pretty good academic offerings, which have recently moved away from the Arts and toward the Sciences. It is still a liberal arts school, but the science departments...

Going the extra mile.
by gogogone ,Jun 04 '07
Pros: Great Campus setting, friendly, efficient, exceptional college. Cons: Small town with too many concessions to Falwell fundamentalism.
Lynchburg College boasts a beautiful park-like campus but more importantly staff go the extra mile to help students become independent thinkers, with the knowledge and self-confidence to succeed. From our first visits to the Campus, staff made it clear that the prospective student should take responsibility for their education and their future. Professors were well educated, with multiple areas of interest, diverse backgrounds and most took more than an average interest in developing their students potential.
College activities are well organized, staff is friendly, helpful and responses are quick, efficient and correct. The college cost is high but probably well worth the expense. Financial aid staff is very helpful.
Lynchburg is a small town with limited variety of resources but seeking to improve in the future. There are plenty of restaurants and great history for visitors.
The college did more for my son than the three other schools he attended so from a parents perspective, I can highly recommend this college.
