Pros: Not too expensive, small, friendly staff Cons: Not enough housing, no football team or marching band
Right now I am attending Shawnee State University, and loving it!
I choose the college because of it is one of the least expensive state universities in Ohio. (Tuition for 16 credit hours and room and board for this quarter: $2884...BEFORE...

Pros: Small classes, many majors, helpful faculty Cons: Not a huge selection of sports, small town, nightlife is very limited.

Pros: small classes, friendly teachers, helpful staff Cons: not much social life if you are 20

Graduated in 1986

Pros: small.small.small. Great Education, Memories for Life, beautiful area. Cons: The area don't want to use the brilliant minds educated there.
I owe my quality of life to Shawnee State University. I came home from the Army and Regan had cancelled the educational programs that I joined the Army to use. I had nothing, but Shawnee was near the area I grew up. She was not my first, second or third choice. However after the first quarter (now on symester hours) I realized this was going to be hard and good for me. I majored in Electro-Mechanical Engineering. I received my AAS in June 1986. In 2001 I was told by the company I was working for to obtain a BSEE, I finished an online (tuff...)program. I would not have been successful if I did not have the base to build on, and that came from Shawnee State's Ray Erwin (retired) and Ken Warfield (still molding young minds). Things have changed at the school, but several of my family members have received their degrees and two more will be starting soon. Thank you Shawnee State for my $84,000 salary per year, I just wish that I could have stayed in Scioto County.
