Pros: Life-changing personal and academic skills. Amazing camp atmosphere. Incredible fun. Cons: None.
SuperCamp is without doubt the most fun and impactful experience I've ever had. When I heard that I was going to spend 10 days of my summer at a camp that included academic learning, I thought it was the worst thing that could ever have happened to ...
Pros: I was picked up early. Cons: The whole camp itself was a waste of my time.
If you look at the reviews on this page they are mostly comments from the parents. And since when did the parents go to Super Camp with their child? Yeah none of them did...people like me actually had to go there. And in my opinion and many other ...
Pros: Well, since it didn't work, we didn't have any Cons: Expensive and too much to expect to change behavior in 2 short weeks.
We sent our daughter (an A to B student) to Supercamp in high hopes they could get her charged up about her studies enough to cross into the straight A group. She didn't want to go and she is very stubborn. We encouraged (dragged kicking and screaming) ...
It has been over a decade since I attended Learning Forum's SuperCamp, and my life will still never be the same. As a junior in high school, I experienced so much growth at SuperCamp--not just from the content, but also the dynamic teaching styles of the...
Pros: Great fun. Learn easy-to-use, practical skills for
school and life. Cons: None I can think of.
I went to SuperCamp this summer and had a fantastic time. The camp was so much fun, the staff were so friendly and I made some great friends. I learned a bunch of things that have really helped me in school and other areas of life -particularly the study skills which are fun and really easy to use, and the communication and leadership skills. If you get a chance to go to this camp, do it. You won't regret it. I'm planning to go again next year.
My Son's Grades Have Improved by parentofteens ,Mar 20 '08
Pros: A positive, uplifting place where kids learn to take responsibility for themselves. Cons: It costs over $2000, but it's worth it.
My husband and I sent our son to SuperCamp in 2007. He was between his freshman and sophomore years in high school. His grades weren't good as a freshmen even though we knew he could do much better. First of all, he loved his time at camp. He loved the staff. He said it wasn't anything like school and not what he expected in going to an academic summer camp. When school started, our first indication that he got something out of the program was that we didn't have to bug him about doing his homework. He decided he was going to do his homework right after dinner every night. He also wasn't playing loud music when he was doing his homework. Then the test scores started coming in. They were B's and a few A's, even in an AP class. His first semester GPA was 3.35, up from 2.8 in freshman year. We're all happy about this and attribute much of this change to SuperCamp
Pros: Energetic & engaging staff who really care about the students. Cons: none
I sent my daughter, who lacked self-confidence in her abilities to SuperCamp. I could not be more pleased with the program. She learned so many valuable academic tools, but I feel the greatest lesson she learned is that she can do anything she puts her mind to. Thank you so much SuperCamp!!!!!
Pros: great for making friends, building trust, and learning important strategies for school and for life! Cons: A little strange
Going to this camp, I was one of those people who weren't exactly looking forward to 10 days here. My parents had sent me here, and I just said okay, since its only 10 days long. However, after 10 days, I had so much fun, that I wish it could be longer, and I plan to go back next year!
Pros: National Advertising Cons: Unprofessional, poor business policies. DISHONEST.
I was unable to take my daughter the day of orientation. They would NOT let me take her the following morning and would NOT refund any of the tuition. I paid the extra fee for insurance.
The customer service representative I spoke with was rude and unreasonable. She told me to write to her in person and she would "think about" whether to issue a refund because she made "all the decisions." I didn't hear back from her for weeks. Not surprisingly, I have received no refund and they keep coming back with additional "policies"
