Details: By far Utah's largest Wilderness, the High Uintas boasts the tallest mountains in the state. Numerous summits rise grandly above the tree line. At 13,528 feet, Kings Peak is the highest point in Utah. The main crest of the High Uintas runs in an east-west direction for more than 60 miles, with few mountains wider than one mile at the base. Many secondary ridges, often higher than the main ridge, extend north and south from the main crest.
