Pros: Space, features, quiet smooth ride, and solid quality Cons: Some ergonomics complaints, crummy gas mileage, big The Bottom Line: It ain't perfect, but the Honda Pilot is one of the most feature-packed, powerful, comfortable vehicles in the mid-size SUV class. Here's why...
Looking for a new 2005 SUV? Lots of choices out there! In my opinion, the best bang for the buck among the dozens of mid-size SUVs (not too big, not too small) is the Honda Pilot. It is as comfortable and luxurious as SUVs from German ...

Pros: Quiet, comfortable, roomy, great features, clear pricing scheme, overall quality, navigation System Cons: 20 MPG (maybe that's a plus), no tow hitch standard The Bottom Line: Recommended to anyone who sometimes needs seating for 8, and always needs a quiet, comfortable, roomy and quality automobile
The other reviewers here have done a wonderful job of going over the interior and exterior details and the driving experience. The way I see it, anybody considering a Honda Pilot is probably looking closely at the competition as well, so this review is ...

Pros: Comfortable ride, lots of room, car-like handling, nice sound system. Honda reliability. Cons: None The Bottom Line: Great crossover mid-size SUV with the room of many large SUVs. Great for soccer moms or large families that like to hit the road.
General This vehicle is large by midsize SUV standards. It seats 8 people although I would only subject a child or short adult to the third row seats. We have had this vehicle about 5 months now-no problems whatsoever. No recalls, no nuisances. ...

Pros: Sporty feel, family practicality
Average fuel economy
Seats 6 large adults comfortably
Cool gadgets Cons: Front and side blind spots
Finicky TPMS system
Boxy style
No speed sensitive radio volume The Bottom Line: Excellent SUV that won't disappoint. Safety, high resale value, loads of features
I bought my 2005 new right as the 2006's just hit the showroom and got a nice deal for waiting. The car has so many features and gadgets that even after 9900 miles, I still occasionally find something new! This is my first Honda and I am very impressed ...

Pros: Interior roominess, great quality, handling, acceleration, maneuverability, engineering Cons: Removal of third-seat headrests to fold seat, rear hatch glass does not open independently. The Bottom Line: Definitely consider the Pilot - it's not truck-based, but it makes up for it with great engineering, features, handling, capabilities, and resale value. Nice ride!
Just purchased my Pilot EX in late Nov, 2004. This is my third Honda, and it is by far the best. I've had '92 and '99 Accord 4-doors (4-cyl, 5-spds). Both were great cars, and it's hard to directly compare, but the Pilot feels so solid - not a buzz or ...

Pros: Safety, looks, handling, interior... too many to list. Cons: Sad that for $45k you have to buy mudguards and all weather mats extra. The Bottom Line: This is an excellent vehicle when taking price, options and reliability of the Honda name into consideration.
We originally (reluctantly ) purchased a 2006 Jetta TDI Wagon ( dealer could not get us a loaded Passat .. ) but within 2 months of ownership we knew it was just too small. 2 kids ( both < 5 ) the Jetta Wagon just did not fit our bill. I was ...

Pros: Well rounded, superb in snow, cavernous trunk Cons: MPG, drive train, no side impact airbags The Bottom Line: Versatile, holds value, awesome in snow.
I wanted a Volvo XC90 but couldn't afford one. After cross shopping the Pilot with the Explorer and Murano, it was an easy choice. The Explorer just didn't feel like it was built to last and it had an awful depreciation. The Murano was too expensive, and ...

Very Happy

Pros: Easy to handle, fun Cons: None here
I purchased my Pilot a little over a year ago and I am very happy with the choice I made. I had a Honda Accord before this vehicle and I was also happy with it. At the time of my purchase I had thought about buying the Toyota Highlander but I was just drawn to the Pilot. I was able to get more for my money. It comes equipped with a nice sounding stereo (very important when you practically live in your vehicle) and I just love the 3rd row seats. They are easy to put up or down. Being a female I think it's just the perfect size for all my needs. I can fit my child and his friends with ease. The cell phone cradle is convenient as is the sunglasses holder. All of the controls are within easy reach. Even stereo controls on the steering wheel!! Just a great all around vehicle

My First Honda

Pros: Versatility, power, comfort, elegance, handling and roominess. Cons: Why the cruise on/off on the dash, it belongs on the steering wheel.
I've purchased 9 new vehicles in my life and the Honda Pilot tops them all. Its versatile, elegant, solid, quick, handles great and gets good gas mileage and in addition has a nice tow package. Everything from the leather to the handling is quality. Ive been a Toyota fanatic for years and this time I went with the Pilot over the Highlander and the Jeep. The Honda has more shoulder room, head room, leg room, and even butt room than the others. Its not cheap. The EX with Leather tops out at about 32,000 plus. I was able to purchase it on the last week of 04 when inventories were being liquidated and paid 29,500. I'm told thats very cheap for a top model. The power of the new 255 hp V-6 feels like a V-8. 0-60 in 8 seconds is plenty fast and quickly gets you into freeway traffic when needed. Its better looking than its counterpart the Highlander, and you can get in and out of it without a step ladder which is almost necessary in some of the other SUV such as the 4-runner. Nice rig, nice comfort.

Keeping with the Honda Tradition of good quality cars

Pros: A good quality vehicle with good looks. Supposedly can tow up to 2 tons. Cons: Maybe a pro for an SUV, but I calculated 21 MPG on the Highway.
I was looking for an SUV that could tow a trailer and have always had good luck with my Hondas. I also looked at the
Ford Bronco which turned out to be several thousand more in price. I also have an 2004 Odyssey, so I'm a Honda fan.
For the first several months it sat in the driveway and I didn't use it much. It's a very tight vehicle with a nice appearance. Much sturdier then the 2004 Odyssey. But it takes more fuel to push it.

Awesome Vehicle

Pros: Gas Mileage,All wheel drive,8 passenger,2nd & 3rd row seats fold down, quality, etc. Cons: cargo space small when 3rd row is in use, wind noise at highway speed.
I have the EX-L and my wife loves the SUV. I use it to get to work when the roads are covered with snow & ice. It handles well and has a lot of safety features. What I really like about Honda is that they don't tack on charges for safety features that should be on every vehicle. The economy version also has stability control, traction control, front & side airbags, etc. Most SUV's are larger and many can't hold 8 Passengers. The all wheel drive pilot gets better gas mileage than my car and all other non hybrid SUV's on the market. The Pilot has many unique features I could list but I'm to lazy to list them all. Take my advice and go buy this vehicle. You will not be disappointed.

A roomy ride

Pros: roomy and across the shoulder belts for all 8 seats Cons: ok gas mileage and well that's all
This is a great vehicle for people that have to haul lots of people or have a lot of luggage or such things. Its comfortable but gets ok gas mileage. We bought our pilot because when we go on our annual week vacation of our family of four we have four large suitcases and two extra large golf bags. Even when we have just our four golf bags in our grand cherokee jeep it was full now we can easily fit in four golf bags for a trip to a wonderful golf course 20 miles away.
