Pros: Small size, Bluetooth, Great Screen, Lots of Memory, SDIO slot Cons: No Serial Port, Yellowish Hue on screen, D-Pad is a little small.
I have owned an ipaq 1945 (referred to as the 1945 from here on out) since Christmas. This pocketpc is nearly perfect. It has plenty of memory, speed, and expandability. This thing is darn sexy! About the size of my m505, but much more capable. On the ...
Pros: Bluetooth, slim design, expandable, true synchronizing with MS Outlook Cons: No cradle in the box, no Wi-Fi (costs $150 more for different model)
I have owned the HP iPaq 1945 since November of 2003. After six months of ownership, I have good things to say about this handheld. In the Box: When you open the box you will get the handheld, battery, stylus, audio cable adapter (more on ...
Pros: Fast processing speed, smooth operation ,brilliant color display. Cons: Cheap construction,Bad customer service
When I purchased my Ipaq 1945 in January 2004 I was amazed by what it could do. Some of the highlights are fast speed , multi tasking , upgradeable, and the amazing color display. But after 4 months the Screen internally cracked after a hot sync. This ...
Pros: Great basic unit, possibilities are virtually endless, beautiful screen, small size. Cons: OS too cumbersome for practical business use. Alarms aren't very useful, no alarms for Tasks.
This is more a review of the Pocket PC/ Windows Mobile 2003 OS in contrast to my 4-year experience with Palm units, rather than the Ipaq 1945 itself. The ipaq is really just a shell for the OS anyway. The unit is built well and has ok battery life, the ...
Pros: power, synchability, looks, size, clear screen, ease of use, huge amount of free software, Bluetooth Cons: weak IR, Stupid converter, yellow tinge on screen,
Experience has been great. I bought it to sort out my multitasking life and needed perfect Outlook functionality and compatability. Got that. Super easy audio recording and I am security paranoid but so far very happy also in that respect. I love the ...
Pros: cheap. Cons: Fragile and unusable in real life.
HP products was the only option at a local computer store for a Pocket PC, so I bought an IPAQ 1945. The reason I picked the 1945 was because it was $100 cheaper than the other HP IPAQs. The product functioned as advertised, and you could not tell it had ...
Love the 1945, best for the $'s by cnchapman ,Aug 08 '04
Pros: Replaceable battery, bluetooth, speed, display, size and weight is wonderful! Cons: Lousy manual.Cannot import all of the 100's of entries I had in palm OS!
I decided to upgrade from a older Sony whose battery had dies. I wanted bluetooth, color, speed and reliability and ease of operation. I am almost 50 and the eyesight is not what it used to be, so a good display was essential.
In the ipaq 1945 I got all of the above and more. I am extremely pleased with the operating system, although it took some getting used for a palm user.
I highly suggest you give this one a good look!
Great PDA for the money-Buy It by ncaesar ,Mar 02 '04
Pros: The color, the speed, the easy integration with MS Outlook and the memory. Cons: No cradle in box-$50 accessory. No case. Can't fully customize icons and folders.
I recently bought the iPAQ 1945 after my Sony Clie crashed and died completely, which I bought after my Palm III crashed and died completely.
So far, I love it. The color, the speed, the easy integration with MS Outlook and the memory.
What I love the most so far is the super duper easy install and integration with MS Money 2004. I am a "power" MS Money user, so I love having all the info in my pocket as well.
I bought mines refurbished from HP directly for $215. Works perfect, very minor scratches.
Loved mine, but not very durable for a real life by frankmeyerhoff ,Apr 04 '04
Pros: Easy to navigate, active sync software worked great, loved to read ebooks on it. Cons: cost of ownership, fragile, expensive to replace screens
I've had my PDA for 6 months. It WAS a very functional and handy tool for work (Critical care & Flight nursing) and a great unit to read ebooks on. While on a flight with the unit in a leather case the first screen cracked out. $187 & 3 weeks later I got my electronic companion back. I put it in a custom fit padded aluminum case. But still a simple bump off the desk blew the screen again. With $200 + of software and another $120 in hardware (expansion SD card and bluetooth receiver for desk-top) I'm really doubting its merits to repair and I am searching for something built for the real world.
Pros: lots of memory, bluetooth, small size Cons: userinterface is not that easy to manuever
I already purchased the same IPAQ and loved it so I am buying another one for my dad. Its great for the price. Like any other product it has some down sides but not enough for me to want to return it.
Garbage, not worth the price. I am switch back to a more reliable platform by leolav1972 ,Mar 14 '05
Pros: None whatsoever. the thing is a piece of crap t Cons: just about everything about it.
I am now on my 2nd H1945. my first crashed very quickly and I returned it to Best Buy. 11 months later, my second one won't stop doing hard resets and wiping out everything in it. It now won't allow my computer to recognize. One word: Garbage.
