Pros: Cheap. Small. Has several languages in it. Cons: Small vocabulary. Slow. Not intuitive.
My girlfriend bought me a TG-450 for a trip to Rome. It has translations for several languages. While it got us through the trip, I regard it as only average.
It has a very limited vocabulary, and is fairly slow in translating. Too often, I put in a common word and waited patiently--only to get no result. Also, I found the key pictographs most puzzling. The keys were especially tiny and not intuitive.
I own another Franklin translator the DBE-1440A--which is dedicated to a single language. I regard a one-language translator as a better purchase.
But this one was cheap, and it worked!
