I found the best Haier dealer! After researching the internet for almost a year, I was still not clear which washer would work for me. I looked for the dryer HLP140E everywhere and no one had this or any information on it. It was really frustrating, ...

Pros: Saves time, money, your knees from wear and tear, no more hauling laundry.
Cons: I wish I had bought it sooner.

I purchased my Haier XQJ50-31 Washing Machine, new, open box, thru an online auction, and though this was my first 'auction' experience, I won, and got a very good price. When it arrived (via ground shipping) btw, I was a little concerned, and not sure if I could get it going But, with the help of the instructions booklet that came with it, my brother, we got it running in short order. One thing that surprised me was the large amount of laundry the tub can hold, 11 lbs, it is apparently about the size of a 'medium' size load in a 'standard' washing machine. Also it seems to really clean much better than coin operated machines and I can soak things! In the back of the machine there are two water inlets, I only needed to use one, because of the type of fawcet/sink I have. And it's so nice to not have to fuss finding enough quarters then lugging laundry up and down stairs, then trying to locate a machine on a busy Saturday morning. Now I can do laundry in the comfort of my own apartment.

Pros: Everything is well put together and planned for an inexpensive but competent brand name.
Cons: Wish it was bigger, but that might spoil the storage ability!!

I bought the above from an outstanding e-bay store and the unit was dented up like described. Looked like it was fork- lifted- dropped & rolled from about 30 feet in the air!! Dents I didn't think were possible in impossible places.
But after examining closely, everything was still together inside, so hook up I went. Worked perfectly after such an apparent beating. I mean beating! Very simple hook up, only using the cold fill side on the machine, for my single lever faucet. The wheels were a little hard to put on but a wrench is supplied. Tight bolts. Unit has handles on side, opposite of each other and is very easy to move. Rolls great, even on carpet! I do recommend having someone with some mechanical ability around though... This machine is very quite even without bottom cover. Does an excellent job on wash, rinse, spin. It gives you 3 rinses on normal and heavy wash.The lint filters work well. Very flexible programming and operation. You can easily custom wash, rinse, spin any item it is that flexible. Easy to navigate for anyone. I am impressed.
