| yinyang's Full Review: Brew Moon |
After working as ushers for Blue Man Group on Sunday afternoons, my friends and I like to go to the nearest pub for a pint of two. Brew Moon is in an excellent location, right near the Theater stop on the Red Line.
It's got a jolly sort of atmosphere, and these lovely sampler beers, all lined up in a rack for you. I always get the sampler, and I always have my waitperson pick out what should go in it. I like variety, and I like to be surprised. The only thing I don't like is the very darkest beer and the very lightest. I don't blame it on the beer though. Brew Moon is well-known for its fine lagers and ales. They are consistently full-bodied and satisfying. The sampler is also a good way to try beers that you might never have given a shot.
The food is way too pricey for me, a simple suburban girl, so I've only had appetizers. They were good, not plentiful, but tasty and in the five to ten dollar range.
This is a great place for friends to hang out and spend a lazy afternoon. I've never felt hurried or rushed when there, though it has always been pretty full.
I even took my mom there- she liked it too!
