I bought this seat when my daughter was 6 months old. The price was not an issue since we bought it with Christmas money from our family. I read as many reviews as I could find before purchasing this seat and many of them were very true! She used to cry every time we got in the carseat when she was in her infant carrier. With the boulevard, it is spacious and comfy and no kidding, she goes to sleep every time we get in the car, even if we are going only a few miles. The latch is easy to work, however, you have to put your finger in a slit to get the latch up. It takes a few times to get used to and it takes some explaining to others who are working the seat. The seat is very light and SUPER easy to move from one vehicle to the next and takes only a few minutes. For the pattern, I saw it on the internet and wasn't crazy about it, but when I saw it in person, I loved it. It's soft and very girly and if we have a boy in the future, we can just purchase a cover for the seat. I can say, though, that I'm glad we didn't get this seat earlier. The plastic pieces on the seatbelts seem to be really big for an infant in the seat. I think it would be awkward with a small baby, but I cannot say this for sure. The best part of this seat is the adjustment knobs. You don't have to take the seat out or move anything to adjust the height of the headrest and seat belts in the seat. You just turn the knobs! It is GREAT. I have a 4Runner, so it fits fine in my vehicle. I have put it in a Tuareg as well and it fit even better in that vehicle. I haven't had a problem with fit. I have had a problem with being able to see my daughter when she's in the seat. I had a rearview mirror when I used an infant carrier so that I could always see her, but this seat is so high that it is difficult to use the mirror. It is something you have to adjust to. I am excited that she will be able to use this seat for a long time. I usually have buyer's dissonance about every major purchase I make, but not about this one! I have loved it from day one and so has my daughter.
