| deanna393's Full Review: Farouk Chi Ceramic Flat Iron Original Model |
I have thick, curly italian hair and I was always searching for a straightener that would actually make my hair straight. These are about $100.00-150.00 US dollars for the 1" inch depending on where you get them. When you use it heata up to 400 degree's. HOT! You will deffinetly need a iron protectent when you use this. Since it is a ceramic iron it is safer for your hair but it would be reccomended anyway. I would reccomend this for people who have a big problem with hair because it does not have a temperature control. The plates on the iron are perfect I put product in my hair before I straighten my hair and I have had problems with my iron plates getting burnt hair product stuck on the plates and ruining them. Not with the CHI none at all! It leaves my hair shiny and smooth. It is supposed to seal the hair cuticle to stop hair from frizzing up but my hair always puffs up in the humid air. The plates sometimes pull hair but very very seldome it pulls out one little hair. It has been months since ive bought this I do notice not working as good, but CHI's are notorius for going bad.
