Pros: Very easy to ride, comfortably, fun way to get around. Cons: Don't expect to go fast, on road or off.
On the road this bike is pretty sad. You can tell just by looking at it that even though it's "dual purpose", it is definitely more "off-road" oriented with those huge tires. It tops out at about 65-67 mph, and at 55 it is pretty...
Pros: Traction, traction, and more traction. Low seat height, absolutely FUN to ride. Cons: Tiny footpegs, low power.
I'm new when it comes to offroad riding - I've only been hitting the trails on and off for about 5 months. (I have 11 years of street riding under my belt) So this review is from the standpoint of an experienced street rider. All my dirt exprience is ...
Pros: Fantastic traction and durability, 60+ mpg, exceptional stability, and seats 2 comfortably. Cons: Poor clearance, esp. with 2 people, only 16 hp, rear suspension too soft.
I purchased my 2004 model last month, and put just over 1000 miles on it in the past 4 weeks. I purchased this bike specifically to cart my wife and I around through the more intricate deep woods trails of Idaho's Rocky Mountains. These days, there are ...
Pros: Great low and mid-range power, big tires help to inspire confidence, great in turns Cons: battery too small, drum brakes,
I had a 1995 TW200. These particular motorcycles have basically remained unchanged except for color since 1987, when the model was first introduced. One major improvement came in 2001 with the addition of a front hydraulic disc brake. This helps...
Pros: Good ride on and off road Cons: Low torque in first gear
I bought this dual purpose bike not only to ride around campus on but to take out to the dirt track as well. I feel very comfortable riding around the school on this bike; however, it is not meant for the open road or highways. I do enjoy taking it off...
The biggest mistake I ever made was buying one of these. it was cheap ($900) because it had an oil leak. All it needed was a new gasket, that i replaced. Then I sold it. The thing handled like a 60's italian street bike. So in other words, you turn & it...
Pros: Economy, reliable, fit & finish, large tires, easy to work on. Cons: Suspenion is made for DUAL sport. When in the woods heavier springs would be nice.
I have owned a 1987, 1989, 1993, 1997, & 2001, & am headed out the door to the dealer for a 2006. All these bikes except the "87" are still in the family. A few minor repairs (brakes, clutches, broken turn signals due to falling over,). None of these ...
Pros: Good for beginners, easy shifting, almost impossible to stall on this bike. Cons: This bike can get old, and you will soon find yourself wanting more speed.
I'm 17, 5'5, and I'm a high school girl. I didn't tell you that so you could know my stats, I told u that because I thought it would help you get an idea as to how easy this bike is to learn to ride. I was scared to get on at first but the fact that the ...
Fun, Reliable, Economical, Practical run around by rapco ,Apr 21 '06
Pros: Reliable, durable, versatile, light, low for shorter riders. Comfortable, economical, chunk and above all fun! Cons: Head light not too bright - I put a larger bulb in which has helped.
Nice looking bike which is low for us shorties! Very chunky bike and fun little bike to ride on or off road. Yet its not girly like a lot of the smaller bikes. My bike for touring and longer journey's is a 900 Triumph Legend so the power of this bike is tame in comparison as you would expect, however its great in towns/city's/lanes as you can fit through most gaps and the 200cc has enough power to nip round obstacles. As it is very light I also use mine to take on the trailer when going away with our camper van. This allows us to have our bikes to go touring around the area without up rooting our base! This is one of the many reasons why I find the bike a joy and very versatile. Yes its not overly powerful but lets face it with all the speed camera's you might as well enjoy the sheer freedom and flexibility this bike gives you for a fraction of the cost of other vehicles. Just get on and ride, does not matter where you end up, because the bike will cope with what ever you throw at it!
Pros: Great traction on pavement or dirt, fun, efficient, light (287lbs), comfortable, four stroke sounds sweet. Cons: Gearing is not designed for intense off road riding, 110 KM/h top end, pink graphics
Origally obtained with 10,000KM, using synthetic oil, new spark plug every spring and a new chain. I bought this bike because it's great for torquing around the city or on the trails. You can ride for five hours straight, it's very comfortable for anybody, even 6 1/2 foot people. Easy to ride, fun to wheelie, would like to swap front drum brakes for 2002?+ disk brakes. It also drives and starts well in the rain, can be driven through three feet of water and people always talk about the huge rear tire at the petrol station. It's also easy to pick up and spin around in tight places or to park.
