Pros: Top of the line Harley with high performance engine Cons: Expensivo but worth it
Harley 2006 Ultra Classic Screaming Eagle FLHTCUSE This is the whole enchilada, folks, for riders of righteous Milwaukee Iron. One of these motorcycles has not only the entire option list from the Harley Touring model line, but the big bore ...
Pros: It's more than just a machine, it's an adventure! Cons: Not so many cons riding Harley's these days, actually!
Since Epinions doesn't allow reviews on products not listed, but doesn't seem to stay up on adding new model year vehicles in a timely manner, this is the only way I know of to review my 2003 Ultra Classic. That being said... start with the basics. ...
Pros: Excellent smooth ride and all-day comfort. Great wind protection. Excellent, perfect ride! Great handling. Cons: They're expensive, but worth every penny. They're heavy when you stop. That's it.
WOW! I wish I would have bought one of these 20 years ago. I have had motorcycles all my life (I'm 54) and I have loved them all, but none like this one. What a magnificent machine this is! I absolutely LOVE it! I bought this bike about nine months ago ...
Pros: Excellent, comfortable touring rig Cons: EXPENSIVE! EXPENSIVE! Needs a rack on the top trunk.
I've have been riding Motorcycles since 1975 and have owned eight different motorcycles of various brands. This is my second Harley Davidson. The first being a 1990 FXLR.
Early last year I sold my FXLR and then waited for the delivery of...
Pros: Handles and looks OK. Cons: Very heavy when loaded. Coming to a halt and parking needs to be planned.
I bought a new Cobalt Blue and Silver Ultra in mid April this year (5 months ago)because I thought it would be nice to ride the 'Flagship'of Harley. In truth, I am somewhat dissapointed, not with the bike but the fact that one feature that would be ...
Pros: Best Handling heavyweight there is!
Eye art, resale, company.
Cons: One Hot mother in the summer! (Current production Improved).
Aluminum wheels prone to premature pitting.
This is only my 3rd Harley but I have been riding Motorcycles for almost 40 years and its a comfy as ...
Pros: Outstanding comfort for driver and passenger; Instant recognition; Smooth powerband; Classic beauty. Cons: I thought by now Harley would have a kickstand, starter, default switch.
My lovely bride of 25 years put it best when she said "We decided it was time to step up and get a cadillac" We took delivery of the Ultra about 9 months ago. We are very happy with the comfort for the driver and passenger seating, we recently rode 400...
BEWARE OF CAM FOLLOWER/CHAIN FAILURE!! by edjutoo1 ,Nov 04 '06
Pros: GREAT FOR INFLATING EGOS and PRETENDING TO BE SOMEONE OR SOMETHING YOU'RE NOT. Cons: GREAT FOR DEFLATING YOUR WALLET AND HAVING INTENSE ENGINE HEAT FRYING YOUR GONADS .
If this is Harley's flagship bike, they missed the boat. The bike is supposed to be a touring machine but rides way to rough. Front fork over travel resulted in a dented front fender on my bike. 3 burned out alternators in 33,000 miles and speedo cable replacement required the removal of the entire front cowling, fender and wheel. AND GUESS WHAT? Speedo part labeled "made in Japan."
Worse yet, cam follower and chain worn out and needing replacement to avoid catastrophic failure. Estimated cost to correct poor design with all gear drive for cams was $1850.00! I got rid of the bike and bought a Goldwing that now has 33,600 miles on it with absolutely no maintenance cost. "REMARKABLE."
2004 FLHTCUI is simply awesome by wynnwagner ,Sep 02 '04
Pros: Exceeded my expectations. Cons: Radio is underpowered. No MP3 player.
I was worried that such a big bike would be hard to handle. I was wrong.
I worried that having a 200# passenger would make it very top heavy. I was wrong again.
The radio/CD/intercom/CB is a bit underpowered. It can't get on top of my Vance/Hines pipes. My fat thumbs sometimes change the radio channel when I was trying to hit the turn signal.
HD has an MP3 player, but you put it on the handlebars and run a wire to the "AUX" input plug on the front of the radio. It is such a cheesy approach that I didn't do it. Hopefully they will do a real in-dash MP3 unit at some point.
Yes, I'd buy it again. And thanks to the internet, I was able to sift through local dealers pricing. I found the bike I wanted at a reasonable price, leaving those greedier stores in the dust.
Pros: EXTREME comfort, handles like a dream, much better than you'de expect, can pack everything! Cons: Needs more power, hard to clean! Not as "cool" as the Dyna or sporty.
Over the last half dozen years or so, I Traded up from a 1200 Sporty, to a Wide Glide Dyna to an Ultra Classic Electra Glide. I am MADLY in love with my Ultra, but it lacked a little power (compared to the Dyna), the touring exhaust makes a little more horsepower than the Dyna exhaust, but the Ultra weighs a LOT more. I put on SE slip ons, air cleaner & power commander & now have fistfulls of power. I have a couple herniated discs & my wifes back is messed up from an accident so we bought the "Road Zepelin" air seat & ride all day in blissfull comfort! Also love the intercom system so we can talk while traveling. I added hiway pegs which increased my comfort on long rides.
