Pros: Quick set up, easy to use and store, good material, relatively comfortable Cons: Just relatively comfortable
I purchased one of these a few years ago while residing in a one bedroom apartment. Heck, if I wanted to have an overnight guest- at least one who was not shacking up with me- it was either going to be the couch or the floor. Most choose the couch over ...
Pros: Light-weight. Comfortable sleeping. Cons: Very basic design flaws. Unfortunately for us they have very good advertising.
Two years ago I needed a light-weight twin mattress I could store upright, then carry to my sleeping area in my studio apartment. I saw one Aero mattress on the Home Shopping Network and ordered it. It was the model with the so-called built-in pillow. ...
Pros: comfortable, inflates easily, deflates quickly (which is great when you want it to) Cons: leaks when used for an extended period of time
I bought our raised Aero Bed last year for overnight guests, and was really pleased with the purchase. We kept it up in the spare room, and it stayed inflated the whole year. My 3 sons who are all in the military used it at different times for up to 3 ...
Waste of money, too many leaks! by barkley999 ,Mar 26 '04
Pros: None Cons: Leaks will drive you crazy!!!!!!
I bought a twin size Aero Bed about 1 year ago at Bed, Bath and Beyond. After only a couple of months it began to leak at the dimple seams. I repaired six "pin hole" sized leaks before getting fed up as it developed more leaks and I ran out of patches and glue!
I contacted Bed, Bath and Beyond and they gave me a replacement for free!!!!!!!
This time I even put a blanket under the bed before inflating it and the leaks are UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!
I believe it is just a good old design flaw with the dimple seams.
I have repaired six different leaks in the last four days and it leaked again last night. It is nothing but trash now. I feel like I'm throwing $100.00 in the garbage!
.....frustrating experience.... by vujaja ,Jul 11 '07
Pros: firm and relaxing Cons: does not last longer
well just tonight i am about to sleep...and then..poof.....my Aero Bed deflates.....i love it really before but now i am very frustrated..how am i gonna replace it i have no money right now....the warranty upon buying the product was lost....i do not even know what to do......how i wish i can avail it's free replacement even here in the Philippines.
Pros: Most comfortable sleep I have ever had. Cons: Leaks, leaks, leaks.
This is probably the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. The problem is that it doesn't last. I bought one and fell in love with it. After a month it sprung a leak. I patched it but the flocking prevented the patch from holding. I sent it back & it was replaced free of charge. While I was waiting for the replacement I bought another at a discount warehouse store. It too sprung a leak after less than a month. I got the replacement. Same deal...always on the seams of the dimples. The design is terribly flawed. Pity. They are not inexpensive.
AeroBed leaks; it's a waste of money by vi9deo ,Sep 22 '05
Pros: Our dogs enjoy it in its perpetually half-inflated state. Cons: It leaks.
It leaks, and since we can't find the leaks, we can't repair them. Really a crummy product, esp. as it was never comfortable, and only lasted eight months.
Happy with my double size Aero Bed by cg2jasmine ,Nov 13 '04
Pros: fairly comfortable, compact, inflates easily Cons: I cannot think of any except it was not discounted when I bought mine.
I bought the original Aero bed in the double size about 4 years ago. I use the bed 4-5 times a year, and I have even loaned it to my son when he had a New Year's party at his house. The bed has never leaked and remains firm all night. I am very happy with mine.
Company Does Not Back Product by saldeen ,May 31 '04
Pros: None Cons: Poorly engineered and constructed product.
After using an queen size Aero Bed for about a month, we noticed that the sides were bulging and the fitted queen sheets would no longer fit. A phone call to the company revealed that they were aware of the problem "the internal coils are uncoiling", but only offered a 30% discount if we would purchase a new bed, and there was no guarantee that a new bed would not develop the same problem. Buyer beware!
aerobed terrible investment by dany1234 ,Aug 08 '04
Pros: none Cons: they dont last long enough for the investment
My husband and I bought an aerobed 3 months ago. The first time we used it was a very nice experience and we thought it as a good investment. We couldnt be more wrong. The second time we tried to use it was losing the air.
If you are planning to keep this bed around for a while you are better of saving your money. This beds dont last.
Pros: As comfortable as my bed at home, stayed inflated for 3 days. Cons: A bit expensive. No battery operated inflator.
I bought this air mattress to go camping in, out of frustration from buying air mattresses and having them deflate. I used it this past weekend at Huntington Lake near Fresno, CA. at the 7,000 foot elevation, and in temperatures that dipped to the 20's at night. I inflated it, it stayed completely inflated for 3 nights in a 9x12 tent with a carpet floor I bring with me when I tent-camp. I weigh 215 pounds and toss and turn at night, and it was solid as a rock. VERY comfortable, very durable and I slept like a rock. What was I waiting for in not buying this bed before? Best $140 I ever spent.
Designed to breakdown after warranty ! by memepickme ,Mar 31 '06
Pros: Huh ? Cons: HORRIBLE customer service !
EXACTLY a (few weeks) after their one year warranty, the bed starts ripping in corners underneath where there are some square shaped designs. I patch it up, and next use (or on that particular after patched use) it leaks again. Its on the corners of these squares. THIS IS A DEEEEEEEFECT ! But oh no they won't admit it. Instead they are SO nice to offer a new one for 2/3's off. 2/3's. like im some mathematician to figure that one out in my head. She said $75 for replacement (trade-in). RIDICULOUS.
DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND OF BED (www.thinkaero.com) !
IF YOU DO BUY IT, SEE IF YOU CAN BUY AN VERY EXTENDED WARRANTY.
Pros: is comfortable, but hope some better company challenges them with equal product Cons: leak leaks leaks and horrible customer service (impossible to reach )
Plus terrible customer service having had to try 4 times to get through to them after 10min wait times each . Even ordering a "free" patch kit three times (because no cement at hardware store seemed to work) it never arrived .
On top of all this bad experience & waste of time with this company , to try and get a simple replacement silicone ring-washer which would cost no more than $1 they force you to buy an entire release valve unite for $15 with shipping . This was/is an absolute rip off plain AND SIMPLE . Not to have replacement washer and charge that $15 is blatant thievery .
Pros: It is great for camping and guest. Cons: I need a new bag. I wore the bag out.
I bought an Aero bed at least 6 years ago and I can truly tell you it is a remarkable portable bed. I take it camping and use it for over night guest. I could no longer get up off the reg. Aero bed so I just purchased the raised bed for camping. I also have to say that as many times as we have used it has paid for itself many times over. I would never trust an imitation. Thanks Aero bed.
