Great tire at a great price

by jpeter Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Jul 20 '03
Pros: Price, performance
Cons: Not a big name brand
Ok, I am the first to admit that when it comes to picking out parts for my car I am always looking to save some money but not at the sacrifice of quality. So when my Dunlop’s were about gone on my 99 Toyota Camry I drove right over to Discount Tire ...

Good tire, excellent value

by opinionated99 , Feb 10 '04
Pros: good wet traction, smooth ride, good value
Cons: handling is a little sluggish (minor)
I have owned two sets of these tires, mounted on two different Dodge mini-vans. They are very good all-around tires. Also, the price is right. I'd buy them again. Ride is smooth & quiet. Traction on wet roads is particularly good. Handling is ok ...

ARIZONIANS - GOOD LUCK If you choose these

by az4life , Sep 05 '05
Pros: reasonable priced, fairly quiet, good traction
Cons: impossible to balance, and poor ride due to vibrations.
I bought a pair of these about 2.5 years ago. Fairly good although they needed to be re-balanced numerous times. I bought another pair after being told they had a new sonic balancer and could take care of the problem. 5 more rebalances and a year plus ...

Superb tires!

by loftonfan , Mar 09 '03
Pros: Super price, great traction and smooth ride-this tire has all of the big three!
Cons: Price is less than other tires-will make some buyers pass it up-wrong choice!
Walked into Discount and was looking at Continental tires for my Acura CL. Thank goodness for the salesman. After spending a great deal of time finding the right tire it came down to these. They have all the features of the "premium" tires, for the...

Arizonian gives the smoothest ride ever.
by poston8 ,Jun 27 '08
Pros: Nice soft ride.
Cons: Little bit noisy but no problem.
Just bought a used Toyota Avalon that had these tires on it. Never heard of them. Just took my first 1,000 mile trip and I was very happy and pleased with the Arizonian tires. Ride is very smooth. Makes me feel like I'm riding in a larger car. I have a 2000 Avalon and just put Michelin's on it and the ride is much stiffer.

The Arizonian's have good steering and control but I like the much softer ride the best. I will switch from the Michelin's to the Arizonians when I buy new tires.

Noisy Tires
by mrshug52 ,Mar 02 '04
Pros: Good traction
Cons: Would not recommend this tire if you want a quiet ride.I was very displeased.
I bought these tires on 2/28/04 for my 2001 Saturn L300.
As soon as I drove off the lot on to the street they began to sing. I took them back to the store because of the noise and balancing. After re-balancing the noise continued. I could not stand the singing these tires made.I returned them on Monday 3/01/04 and bought the Goodrich Precept.
This tire rolled out quietly and I am satisfied with them so far.

Very good tire!
by revox777 ,Aug 22 '04
Pros: smooth drive, long life, low noise.
Cons: nothing after 60.000 miles
After looking around and comparing different brands of tires to find anything better, I went back to Arizonian silver edition for my Buick/Roadmaster LTD. as the best choice for this car. Tire size is 235/70/15 .On old ones Arizonians I put 60.000 miles and they were still ready to go at least 20.000. They weren't worn out at all but I had to replace them because of damage .I always keep pressure 30 p.s.i.(cold) for these tires. I travel to southwest at least a couple times of year. Never had any complains. Great dry traction and good wet traction. These tires have smooth drive and low noise level. It's very important on what car you use any particular tires. Because tire size makes matters a lot. Maybe for some minivans these are not the best choice but for heavy and stable sedan like Buick/Roadmaster these really work!

I just purchased four of the Silver Editions 70x215x14 for mini Van
by lt1go ,Mar 13 '04
Pros: Very smooth run out
Cons: very noisy also tires appear as they have a weak side wall
I just purchased (2days ago)four Silver Editions for my 1995 Ford Mini Van. The van is a cargo version so its like driving a big box.

I purchased these tires, as they were the only ones in stock. what also impacted my selection was the limited tire size options available, due to the 14 inch rim size used on the Ford mini van.

I have made one 320 mile trip after having them installed two days ago. They are very smooth and according to the installer they took very little weight for balance which is good. I'm however very unhappy with them as they are very noisy. I'm also uncomfortable with the steering response, which seems sluggish. My van is not loaded so my biggest concern is will it have sway tendencies when loaded.

unhappy

Good value
by bclingerman ,Aug 02 '04
Pros: Great value, handle well on wet and dry roads
Cons: only got 30,000-50,000 miles on tires with 70,000 warranty
These are great tires for the price.
I bought 2 tires and then replaced the other 2 about 20,000 miles later. I put a lot of miles on my 89 Chevy suburban each year, driving to work, for work and for my church. I really worry about the safety of the tires when driving a load of Jr. high kids to camp.
They seem to hold almost as well on a wet road as a dry one.
The only really con I found was they didn't last as long as I had hoped; but the really hot road temp's here in Houston may have effected that.

We're Very Pleased
by jevchance ,Mar 21 '05
Pros: Price, winter traction, noise, handling
Cons: None as of yet!
Based on Epinions reviews, we decided to give these tires a try. We are extremely pleased! In combination with our Buick Regal's traction control, we feel like we are driving a tank in the snow! Even better than my truck with the 4 wheel drive engaged! The perfect all-season tire for the snowy Michigan winters. These tires continue to impress us after about 5,000 miles.
