Pros: Amazing picture quality, tons of features, very portable, li-ion battery Cons: Buttons are a little small, can be a little uncomfortable to hold, tiny viewfinder
My father was in need of a digital camera that was small and versatile. He wanted something that would be good for taking any type of photo. He needed to take before and after photos of homes at work. He races homing pigeons, and wanted ...
Pros: Awesome image quality. Great size. Good speed. Lots of features. Well built. Cons: on/off button. USB and A/V out cover is hard to acess for dowloads.
I have to admit; I am a fairly brand loyal person. Once I find something that works; I tend to stick with it. Over the years I have found that when it comes to digital cameras; Olympus simply cannot be beat. I had tried Fuji; Kodak, HP and ...
Pros: Resolution, Image quality. Easy to use. Many features. Large display, great design. Cons: Quality in poor light (noise). No manual focus. Only JPEG file format.
Canon's new Powershot SD950 IS Digital Camera has a whopping 12.1 Mega pixels in a compact Titanium casing. Battery The battery is of lightweight, long lasting, Li-Ion type. This I find very positive because it enables you to take many shots ...
Pros: Speed, Resolution, Face Recognition and even Red-Eye correction, the SD950IS makes it Perfect Cons: A little Pricey.
I've had the SD 950IS for about 8 months and love it. I am a Canon fan, so I probably have some bias, but I tried an EOS SLR REBEL and it worked great. When I used it for photos while at soccer games or on a hike, it produced some awesome ...
This past Christmas my husband and I had the same idea for Christmas gifts - to upgrade our very old 2MP camera to a very current model. I ended up purchasing a 12MP Sony camera from my husband (we are usually brand loyal to Sony) and he bought me the ...
Pros: Great picture, image stabilization, video recording, great for an amateur or a semi-professional Cons: Expensive, confusing menus (at first)
I bought this camera to replace my old 6 megapixel Kodak Easy Share. This camera is amazing. The color appears very accurate, and the picture is crisp and clear. I love the image stabilization feature as well, no more blurry images.
Pros: Pictures are great, viewing simple, seems pretty simple to use. Cons: Small buttons
Bought this camera for my trip to Punta Cana and I must say I am very happy I did. I read the manual, or rather reviewed it on the plane ride and started snapping shots as soon as I was off the plane. The first few pictures were a little blurry but after trying other settings, the next ones were beautiful. I used the foliage setting and the garden pictures are beautiful. The zoom on this camera is excellent. I am still figuring out low light, indoor pictures, as alot of those were not as bright and clear as I thought they should have been, but again, I am still learning and hope to be able to figure this out. Some of the low light came out good but others were dark.
Overall I love this camera and will definitely be using this as my primary.
Canon SD 950 IS - Quality Control by phototraveler ,Jul 06 '08
Pros: 12 MP and Image Stabilization Cons: Quality Control
I purchased the SD 950IS in December, I used it on a trip to Japan, Vietnam and Cambodia in December and January and half way through the trip the memory card got zapped and I lost all the photos to that point. When I returned to the states I sent the camera to canon and it was diagnosed with a loose power supply. When It was returned it had a screw rolling around inside the camera and had to be returned AGAIN.
When it was returned the 2nd time, the button were difficult to use and the picture preview button got stuck IN.
I have owned many Canon cameras over the years, I don't know if i got a Lemon or if Canons quality has deteriorated.
It does take great pictures and the Image Stabilization is great.
Crisp Clear Professional Pictures! by ronanmilamama ,Apr 17 '08
Pros: Small, easy clear shots, great zoom, lots of useful features Cons: Zooming is a little awkward
If you want clear shots from ANY distance this is the camera for you!! You will feel like the Paparazzi!!
Don't know what I have been doing for the past 2 years but I bought this one to replace my old Pentax Optio WP which kicked the bucket. Costco returned it with a FULL REFUND YAY!! So I picked up this Canon and I am in love with it!!
CLEAR CRISP shots! Perfect for taking pics of my 5 month old. It's fairly easy to operate. You do have to read the manual though to get full usage of all the options. Highly recommend this camera!! You can also get a waterproof case for it which is a total bonus for us. The ONLY thing I find disappointing is the fact that the zoom is on the top and is a little awkward to operate if you want to get a quick shot. But everything else outweighs this con!
