Pros: Reliable, easy to use and clean, stays charged in it's holder Cons: Your wife/girlfriend will use it too :-)
This little wonder has prepared me for several job interviews and works wonderfully. I have used it to shear a full beard down to shaving length about 20 times and to trim my mustache weekly with no need for sharpening yet.
Pros: Good quality motor lasts longer than any I've encountered Cons: Guide won't stay put, not great for body hair, hair somehow gets inside unit
I purchased this trimmer in 1999 to replace an almost new, fancy Panasonic model that worked horribly. This has no frills, its about a five inch long plastic trimmer with an inch long stainless steel trimming head, a guide that pops on and off to ...
Pros: Lightweight, easy to use. Wonderful for bikini area, legs & children's hair. Cons: Nothing wrong that I have experienced to date.
I bought the Conair GMT 180 Deluxe Beard & Mustache Trimmer as a gift for myself apx. 8 years ago! I paid $15 for it. I got tired of getting nicked each time I tried to shave my legs or bikini area, so I decided to try a mans shaver/trimmer. This ...
Pros: ease of use, professional look, tools for jawline and mustache Cons: blade lubrication can get a little messy if you're not careful
I used to get a beard trim every week for $5.00 a trip at the local barber. That was until my wife bought me a Conair Deluxe Beard and Mustache trimmer for Christmas. This tool is great. A nice even cut, with a great guide that keeps me from cutting too...
weak motor, blending combs jam trimmer head by firerant ,Dec 03 '05
Pros: Don't have anything to compare it to, so don't know Cons: Weak motor, blending combs jam trimmer head
This winter I grew a beard and mustache. I bought one of these at Walgreens and tried using it. The adjustable comb works ok but it can easily slip out of adjustment if you press too hard. The jawline blending combs don't work at all. They cause the trimmer head to jam up due to the way they attach to the cutting head. They clamp on and squeeze the cutter blades slightly. This, combined with the already weak motor in the trimmer, prevents the trimmer from starting. You can start the trimmer without a blending comb attached and them snap a comb on, but the trimmer will run at such reduced speed that it does a very poor job. Even tried a drop of oil on the blades per the instructions thinking this might make the cutters move more freely, but it didn't help much if at all. Back to Walgreens it goes.
Pros: Power to handle my very tough beard; Never runs down while trimming. Cons: It's not as powerful as corded, but that's not a real minus.
After 15 years of use, I finally have to look for a new battery for my GMT 180. It's worked like a champ for all that time. It handles my very tough beard really well, and never runs out of power for the 15+ minutes I take to cut/trim my beard. Maybe it's not as powerful as a corded clipper and thus might take a little longer to do the job, but I think that's a plus - a slip of the hand doesn't gouge out a huge section of beard.
