Pros: Easy to install. Easy to unstrap child one handed. Comfortable for child.
Cons: Flimsy arm rests..big deal. Seating could use more cushioning for bum.
I purchased the Evenflo Generations Booster Seat when my son was 22 months old, February 2007. My husband has the identical one in his Camry. Now I have a daughter who is 17 months and am considering purchasing the same one for her when she's closer ...

Pros: Cup holder, adjustment knobs, adjustable head rest Cons: Poor head support
I would not recommend this car seat to families who travel long distances. If your child falls asleep frequently in the car this is not the car seat for you. It does not recline at all and has absolutly no support for the head when your child is ...

Pros: Adjustor knobs, nice looking seat, very light Cons: Flimsy arm rests, flimsy sides, poor head support for sleeping child
The Generations seat is definitely nice to look at, but it was a let down after having an Evenflo Triumph 5. I was hoping the Generations would be as strongly built as the Triumph, but it wasn't. I found the arm rests to be very poorly built. They pop ...

Nice looking seat - MAJOR thigh pincher!
by angemam ,Aug 30 '07
Pros: Easy to adjust shoulder straps, nice washable bum pad. Cons: A thigh pincher / crotch smasher of a design! Way to Go, Evenflo!
I have 5 kids & more carseats than should be allowed by law! This carseat is a dream to adjust - very similar to the Evenflo Triumph convertible (my favorite carseat ever!). HOWEVER... this seat has zero padding around the crotch strap & the crotch strap is too close to the back of the seat, so it is too tight on a little one's "whatsits" -- if you know what I mean. My little girl loves to wear dresses, but her bare legs get easily pinched by the buckle & she complains her "potty hurts" if she is in the seat for more than 1 hour. It just isn't worth the comfort issues & all - no matter how easy it is to adjust the shoulder straps!

Does not live up to the Evenflo convertible seat
by kwurs ,Nov 03 '06
Pros: Okay as a booster seat. Cons: straps uncomfortable
arm rests came off
harness not long enough to fit bigger child
We had the Evenflo convertible seat which was great. This seat was not. The straps were uncomfortable (there was no padding where the belts came together). My child hated it. The arm rest fell off the first time we used it. The harness was not long enough to buckle her in (36 in at 35 lbs). Ended up using it with the seat belt as the harness. Its okay that way but I could never get the arm rests to go back on.

He loves it
by hotmommastout ,Aug 24 '07
Pros: Comfortable, good looking, & a good buy. Cons: I can see how the crotch strap could be too tight on a larger child.
We bought this car seat for our older son about 10 months ago, when we gave his convertible car seat to his younger brother. All I can say is that he loves it, we love it & he seems very comfortable in it.
He's 2 & 1/2 & weighs about 30 lbs. The padding on the arm rest did come lose, but that's because I didn't read the directions right & pulled on it! Anyways we are really happy with it & thought it was a great value, especially since he will be in it for years.

Good seat for older child
by thalsen ,Apr 03 '07
Pros: Good support, snack and drink holder. Cons: Arm rests fall off easily, too straight up for small child.
This car seat seems to be good for older children. Our daughter is new to the front facing seats and the seat seems to be sitting so straight up that she almost is leaning forward. When she falls asleep in the car her head is always bent so uncomfortably.

Do not buy this !
by cam699 ,Jan 11 '07
Pros: none Cons: armrests break, short straps and uncomfortable
When we purchased this carseat, it was the most expensive one at Toys R Us. Somehow we equated the high price to quality, but we found out quickly that was not the case. As others have noted, the arm rests broke off very quickly and we have never been able to be put back on again. Also, the straps aren't long enough when my daughter has her winter coat on. Lastly, my daughter can not sleep comfortably in this chair. Her head always bobs forward and there is not way to correct this. Overall, I am very unhappy with the seat and regret not paying a little more for a Britax carseat. Don't waste your money on this carseat!!!

PAIN TO CLEAN
by momof2beauts ,Feb 23 '08
Pros: my daughter likes it. It's nice to have armrests that go up and down. Cons: It's is the worst car seat we've ever owned. I definitely do not recommend it.
It's attractive blends well with car interior. I think it is somewhat flimsy. It is VERY difficult to get the cover off to wash it. You have to remove the arm rests and I just can't do it. I get too frustrated and have to have my husband do it and it still takes him forever. We have had to do this twice after my daughter threw up.

Good booster
by lizzyv1 ,Feb 21 '06
Pros: low profile, good for plane travel, car seatbelt tucks neatly under headrest. Cons: flimsy armrests, harness is too small for kids over 35lbs.
This booster is good for a big or little kid. As long as they face forward they can fit. I have a 4 year old that uses the seatbelt rather than the harness and it tucks neatly under the head rest for a better fit. Good for traveling on an airplane with little ones, because it is light and smaller than the full sized car seat, and you can strap them in the seat with the harness.

Great Seat
by mommyto2es ,Jan 23 '06
Pros: very comfortable, straps are easy to adjust Cons: flimsy armrests, but they do their job
This seat is great! My 22-month old loves the padding and feels like a big boy because he can get in the seat by himself. The harness is very easy to adjust! Since the seat can be used up to 100 lbs (w/o harness), we're sure to get plenty of use out of it! It fits nicely in the center of the backseat of a Chevy Malibu and a GMC Sierra truck. I give it two thumbs up!
Oh, and Walmart also sells another version called the Evenflo Bolero. It's essentially the same seat, without all of the padding (and it's cheaper).
