Pros: Safe, side impact protection, very comfortable, affordable, easy installation in some vehicles Cons: Difficult installation in some other vehicles!
WHY I PURCHASED THE EVENFLO TRIUMPH: I first purchased this carseat after reading the Consumer Reports car seat crash test ratings. This seat has the best crash test rating of all the seats they tested - including two of the higher priced Britax seats. ...
Pros: Comfy cushioning for baby. Highly rated for safety. Not as expensive as some. Cons: Heavy. Straps aren't easy to use. Cover is a job to clean
I have been playing with the idea that this seat was not the best idea. Let me explain........ I purchased the Evenflo Triumph back when my son had grown out of his infant seat (in late 2004). My son was a very big baby and around 6 months or so he ...
Pros: Child seat reminds me of a Lazy boy. Cons: Straps are cumbersome and can't move from car to car easily.
I am a father of an 8-month-old daughter and I drive a compact car and my wife drives an SUV. We reach the conclusion to buy this seat after some testing and also the salesmen told us that this seat is comparable to another high-end seat from Britax. ...
Pros: Very well padded, straps are very easy to operate Cons: None
I searched long and hard for my car seat this time. I had this seat (Triumph DLX Convertible Car Seat in Marimba Print) picked before it ever came out on the market and I'm so glad I waited. My first choice was the Britax, but I liked the over-all look ...
Pros: Durable, Soft Padding, secure, shaped just right Cons: The latch strap could be a bit longer.
This car seat is a great price and one of the nicest I have had. We have five children and have used the triumph with the last two. We researched many of the car seats on the market today and quickly decided this would be the seat that we ...
Pros: 5 point harness, padding, easy to adjust the strap height, easy to tighten straps. Cons: None
This is the best car seat ever! I definitely recommend this car seat over the others, only because my baby (11 months)and I actually tested it out, literally! I had a Trailblazer, and was hit from the side from someone that ran a stop sign. We were ...
Pros: Easy to adjust & recline Cons: Straps do NOT remove for washing. Design flaw:allows child to destroy head padding.
This seat was by far - the easiest carseat to adjust (tighten / loosen) I had ever owned. I loved that I could recline the seat while the child was sleeping & they didn't wake up. It WAS my favorite carseat - no longer my favorite - several reasons. ...
Pros: Super-easy strap adjustment, fits all sized kids Cons: It is a big, heavy seat that needs a lot of seat space
This is by far the best car seat we have ever owned. My favorite feature is the easy-to-adjust straps. You can adjust the height of the shoulder straps without having to thread them through those annoying little slots. With this seat it's just a click. ...
Pros: Very safe. Cons: Heavy, bulky, hard to adjust straps, hard to clean material.
I bought this product after reading the Consumer Reports reviews of this product. It has a great safety record and is very sturdy. It is very big and bulky and takes up a lot of room in a small car, takes about a seat and 1/2. It is also very heavy, ...
Pros: Looks impressive; all fabric-no vinyl or metal "hotspots" after sitting in the sun Cons: Too big; bad angle for reflux baby?
If there is a bigger car seat out there, I would be amazed. It is ginormous. I feel like I have a Barcalounger the back seat of my Accord. If I had gotten a Civic, we probably would have to remove the back seat to get this car seat installed. You ...
Pros: Easy to use, safe, reliable, reasonably-priced Cons: none
We bought this car seat after several weeks of research and shopping. We couldn't be more satisfied with our purchase! The Evenflo Triumph is safe, secure for our young daughter. It can easily be used rear-facing, as well as forward-facing. I feel ...
Pros: High weight limit for rear-facing infants, lasts up to 50 lbs, very comfortable Cons: tough to tighten LATCH belt in rear-facing position, box is bulky to get home
I bought this seat last week for my 13 month old after a lot of research. It came highly recommended by a friend, but I still read all the reviews I could find. Finally, I couldn't put off the purchase any longer, so I went with it. Currently, I ...
Pros: Ease of use. Quick strap adjustment. Cons: Large/Bulky
My husband and I have been very happy with this car seat. I love how easy it is to loosen the straps to put our son and then tighten to the once he is snapped in. He seems very happy and comfortable. It looks comfortable to me; I wish my driver's seat was a larger version of his car seat. :)
Great Car Seat - Company Stands Behind Product by knowlesdrs ,Jun 08 '07
Pros: Easy to install, cushy. Cons: Took a while to figure out how to adjust strap height.
After reading many reviews we decided to get this carseat. It works fine, easy to install, adjust, etc. The only time we had a problem was when our child was about 2 years old and I realized the carseat was a bit tight. I thought this was odd because I really expected it to last for a few more years (and used that to justify the higher price than for some carseats).
After looking at carseat models in other stores, I noticed that the same model as ours seemed to have a longer strap in the crotch. I measured this length at the store and called Evenflo. Sure enough, ours was shorter.
Evenflo immediately responded by sending us a brand new seat, with no questions. All they required was that I cut out and send the old buckle assembly when the new seat arrived and send it back to them (which was fine with me since it wasn't right).
The kid was comfy again and we were happy with their quick response to what was probably a slipup in production.
Pros: Looks like Dad's Favorite Comfy Chair and fit rear facing in my small car. Cons: Double shoulder harness is horrible. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Buy the Britax Roundabout!!!
I was some what limited in my car seat choices due to the fact that I drive a small car and not many seats would fit rear facing. This one seemed like it was going to fit the bill; it got a great crash test rating, looked like "Dad's Favorite Comfy Chair" and actually fit in my car. My excitement didn't last long. The first time I tried putting my son in it was all it took to convince me to return it & buy the Britax Roundabout. The shoulder harness has a double strap that is VERY DIFFICULT and time consuming to latch & adjust. This is a VERY POOR design. I suggest you try putting your baby in the seat & latching and adjusting it a few times before you buy it... then try the Britax; it's a breeze to latch and adjust plus it has a far more secure installation (that was also easier).
