Pros: Very realistic simulation - will help you pass your practical. Cons: Not exactly a game, if that is what you are looking for.
I had always wanted to be a pilot. Now I am one and not just on Flight Simulator. I have a license from the FAA, and I really think that Flight Simulator saved me many hours of training time that would have been around $100/hour. This program ...
Pros: -Very Realistic Cons: -Can be Boring, Takes Long to Install

Pros: Realistic, Educational, High expandability, Aimed at mature gamers. Cons: Not aimed at the hard core gamer. Pricey.
I'm not what you would call a hard core gamer. I'm not into the "first person shooter" games but I do occasionally enjoy a racing game or two. I'm in my mid thirties, so I grew up playing pinball and defender. I've always had an interest in flying ...

This software is perfect for those who are crazy about flying by amesh ,Apr 18 '07
Pros: Real, Nice graphics, got real places and Airports Cons: People who don't know how to fly can learn from this software.
I have been using this software for past few years now and everyday i learn something new though its not for gamers, its most for the matured people who are really serious about flying would really enjoy this. Also people who don't know how to do flying can learn from this software just like i did because the software good learn flying option where they exactly tell you what, how, when and where. It would really work great on upgraded computers because it really needs large space to install a file its self for better graphics its good if you have higher ram which makes more realism and also the computer doesn't get slow. The good thing about this simulator software is that i can download new planes and places and keep upgrading every time.
This game is the worst game to buy because you install it once and then uninstall and reinstall it doesnt play again. Takes up to much space on hard drive. SLOWS COMPUTER!
Pros: Very realistic aircraft Cons: Too minor to be mentioned.
I would suggest that one reviewer follow the instructions for installing Flight Sim 2004. Perhaps needs a faster computer and a clean environment before installing. Mine works well on a fast but middle of the road Dell. Flight controls are crisp, and the aircraft respond to joystick and keyboard commands well. Has flaws, but as a full scale pilot and r/c flier as well, it's a great buy for the money.
A great tribute to 100 years of flight by samf2000 ,Sep 06 '06
Pros: Vintage aircraft, more tutorials and historical facts and videos. Cons: Same Low res scenery with nothing really new as far as gameplay or graphics.
For People Familiar with the MS Flight simulator Games, This newest addition will have you at the controls in no time. MS Added various Vintage aircraft this time around with addition information about each aircraft and videos showing you the actual birds in flight. You get tutorials as you would expect but you also get to fly on historic missions that each plane took. Aside from the new Planes , tutorials, missions and videos everything else is pretty much the same as FS2002.
The menu screen is easy to navigate and all the controls are as they should be in each plane. If you owned FS2002 You might feel its the same game with more aircraft and information and to the most part you would be correct. Scenery outside is still pretty much the same low res buildings that we saw in previous game... The really big jump in Scenery will come in MS Next version which is MSFS X ! Where photorealism is much closer with ten times more objects to view. If you enjoy flying and don't own fs2002 then this one is a must have otherwise wait till the next version.
