Pros: Easy to use, durable, relatively cheap, pictures turn out fine Cons: Not for those extremely concerned about quality, or semidark/cloudy conditions 100% of the time
I actually do own a real camera: one where you purchase film, load it in, and perform sophisticated functions such as zoom. However, I have often found myself doubting the safety of said camera, be it from sand or too many handbags thrown on a table at a...
Pros: Waterproof, sturdy case Cons: Lack of built-in flash
I purchased this camera for a vacation at a lake resort, knowing that my baby daughter would be swimming for the first time, and that I would want to capture memories of the event at the beach. I was pleased with the waterproof aspect of this camera. ...
Pros: floats well, very waterproof Cons: no flash, very blurry granulated pictures
I purchased this camera when my friend and I's daughters were going to the pool for the first time. With a name brand I thought that it would be fairly good even though we didn't have a flash. The camera was good at the pool, it was very waterproof and I ...
Pros: It is Affordable and waterproof. Cons: NO flash ---shoddy pics
I have my own regular digital camera but I was going somewhere that there would be waterfalls (Dunns River Falls, JA) and knew I would be getting splashed and wet as would everything I had with me. I picked up this little fugi camera at the last minute ...
I took pictures when I was pressed. I had no camera, so I bought Fuji camera for my memory of family reunion. It was okay. My pictures was no worse and no better than that. I like Maxi by Kodak. They have better image, less dots. The man at film...
Great for kayakers and hikers by ke8yy ,Jan 05 '06
Pros: Cheap, waterproof, available everywhere. Cons: No flash
Everyone who boats or hikes likes to have photos to remind them of a favorite trip, and everyone wishes they had photos of those once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunities that always seem to happen when no one has a camera. Problem is that not everyone wants to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a weatherproof/waterproof camera.
I've been recommending this little camera for years to my kayaking pals as something they can toss in their deck bag and have ready if and when that great photo opportunity comes up. It's certainly cheap, it takes fine pictures, and while not a camera suitable for divers, it easily survives rainstorms, snow, and the occasional dunking. As another reviewer noted, there's no flash, but most kayaking is done during daylight hours.
No doubt we'll eventually be able to buy disposable, waterproof digital cameras for only a few dollars more, but until film disappears from the marketplace the Fuji remains an excellent choice for outdoor adventurers
Pros: will float in water, Hard durable case Cons: no flash, big and bulky.
I have used this particular product twice, both during river rafting trips and have found it to be quite good for these situations.
Although the camera is limited by the fact that it has no flash, it's pictures are actually very decent without this feature. As with many disposable cameras I've had that don't have a flash the pictures wouldn't show up quite a bit, however with this camera I've been able to clearly see everything that is in the picture, although it is not of the quality it could be had their been a flash.
Another problem with this camera is that it is very big, and I had trouble keeping it in my pocket because of this fact, however it floats in the water and is easy to retrieve if you are to lose it.
The hard case of this item ensures that this item can not easily be broken, and water can't just seep into the camera destroying the pictures.
Overall I would say that the good of this product outweigh the negative effects, and this is a camera that is great for water use.
