Pros: Quiet, Great in rain, snow and off-road Cons: Wear down fast when driven even slightly hard
The Goodyear Fortera HL tires came stock with my 2006 GMC Envoy. These tires were are especially for SUVs with the Envoy in mind. They are said to help compliment its stability system and be a solid tire no matter what condition they are placed in. ...

Pros: Quiet, traction, looks Cons: none to report
I purchased a set of 4 265/75/16 last fall. I have bought nothing but Michelin tires for many years. Yes, Michelin is a few extra bucks, but worth the price. This time, while researching tires for my 2000 GMC Sierra 4X4, I came across the Fortera's. ...

Pros: None. Cons: Horrible vibration, horrible Goodyear service, horrible experience.
When I needed a new set of tires for my 4runner I decided to get the latest technology from a reputable brand, Goodyear. Bottom line, worst tire buying experience of my entire life. All four tires were out of round. One was so badly out of round that ...

Very disappointing
by pvasseur ,Dec 22 '07
Pros: none Cons: out of round, poor tread life
Tread life about 28,000 miles, these tires caused an oscillation at about 50 mph that could not be corrected with alignment or rotation of the tires. i spent top dollar for these tires and would never buy again.

very noisy after 15,000 miles
by vernonls ,Jul 29 '08
Pros: came recommended by America's Tires co Cons: Way too noisy
These tires were quiet enough when purchased, but at 15,000 miles they are extremely noisy between 30-50 mph. Once past 60 they quiet down, but I would never buy these tires again.

Quiet, but problematic
by mrengineer ,Nov 21 '06
Pros: Quiet Cons: Short lived
Quieter than any other tire I've used on my truck, but not enough of a difference in audible noise level to justify a higher price.
I did have problems with improper wear and short life, which appeared to be the result of miss-shaped tires. Neither Goodyear nor Tirerack were interested in my dissatisfaction. So, this time I instead bought a set of Michelin LT's from Costco.

Disappointing Service Life & Warranty
by atleng ,May 12 '06
Pros: Slightly quieter than original equipment Integrity tires. They also provided a bit better handling. Cons: Very poor service life; poor value when considering the price to tire life.
Bought these for my Acura MDX replacing the Goodyear Integrity tires that came standard at the recommendation of a Goodyear Gemini dealer. The Integrity tires provided approximately 38,000 miles of service. The Fortera HLs provided about 27,000 and two tires had serious problems near the end of that life. One tire blew out on the Interstate and lost the entire sidewall. The other suffered a 6" rip when the vehicle brushed a curb while parallel parking. As someone who bought Michelins for more than 30 years I can say these were a big disappointment. Just as disappointing was the failure by Goodyear and its dealers to provide any prorated warranty for new tires even though they agreed that the tires appeared to be properly rotated and kept properly inflated.
