Pros: Great for keeping feet cool and dry during the summer. Cons: Not the best for near freezing weather or colder.

Pros: Durable, comfortable, inexpensive. Cons: None found so far.

Did not wick at all, despite the claims on the label

Pros: Nice feel against the skin, elastic Cons: NO WICKING
I bought a pair of blue Wigwam Gobi Liner socks with the "Wonder Wick Foot Dry System", made of 100% polypropylene. After 11 hours of wearing them with minimal activity (driving or at work) in my New Balance 471 sports shoes, I found that they did NOT wick away perspiration at all. After removing the (damp) socks, my soles had a thin layer of perspiration. I had showered in the morning and when I use the same New Balance shoes with ordinary cotton socks, my feet are kept much dryer.
Besides, bikers in the Usenet community stopped recommending polypropylene since back in '97 (see http://www.faqs.org/faqs/bicycles-faq/part1/index.html)
