Pros: Impressive building that tells tall tales...
Cons: n/a

Pros: History, convenient hotels and restaurants, occasional famous people.
Cons: Still a bit gritty and dusty in places.

Amazing building to visit

by BlackBear Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Apr 28 '00

Pros: Beautiful architecture, grounds keeping and rich history
Cons: there are a whole lot of stairs :}
...feels a little odd at times. I have worked in the Texas capitol building for about six years, and it hasn't begun to lose it grandeur and majesty. There is not a day that I walk through it that I don't notice some detail or perspective that I...

by easykash , Apr 28 '00
Pros: Cool to look around, can be interesting
Cons: gets dull after a while
Taking a trip to the capitol may not be a heart-thumping thrill ride but it can be very interesting. I live in Austin and have visited the capitol many times. The history of it is very unique. The building is made of limestone from marble falls.

Worth a trip out of the way no matter where you are going
by kmarks81 ,Mar 13 '07
Pros: Beautiful scenery in every corner you look
Cons: A bit away from anywhere unless you are in Austin
This place was so beautiful. The scenery AROUND the building was enough to take my breath away. The structure. The lighting. The windows. There is no one things that would ever make me not want to visit the place again. Thank God I moved to Texas
