Details: Penrod (Penry) Pooch is the mild-mannered janitor at the police station, but when trouble looms he is only a file cabinet away from transforming into Hong Kong Phooey, Number One Super Crimefighter! He hasn’t mastered every lesson from his Kung Fu Correspondence Course, however, so he is often helped by his cat Spot and his ever-adaptable Phooeymobile. Penry (voiced by Scatman Crothers) knows when to leap into action because he overhears Rosemary the station switchboard operator (voiced by Kathy Gori) and the gruff but lovable Sgt. Flint (voiced by vaudeville legend Joe E. Ross).
