Pros: Well-designed. Close, comfortable shave. Cons: Expensive, but worth it.
I've been a blade user for years (Mach III most recently). I've tried electric razors before (Braun and Norelco) but was never satisfied with the closeness of the shave. I also didn't like the irritation I had to go through during the adjustment period....

Pros: Made well, Great Trimmer feature, LCD battery Display, Ergonomic Design Cons: Not a close shave!!
I am only 21 years of age, and have tried every method of shaving available. Shaving with a normal razor undoubtedly is provides the closest shave, but I was always left bleeding or with irritated skin.

A very good dry shaver
by jchenry1 ,Oct 29 '08
Pros: Close dry shave. Nice design. Cons: Expensive. No wet shave option.
I have used this shaver several years now, and compare it with Braun, Panasonic and Norelco. Overall, I am satisfied with its performance. It gives a good close shave, but not quite as good as either a wet electric shave with the Panasonic (but it is maybe better than a dry Panasonic shave). Battery charge is average. Clipper is well-designed, the smoothness of the foil head is good, but I recommend a talc-stick pre-shave with this shaver for maximum comfort. Handy protective switch and tambour cover apparatus.

I purchased this shaver with...

I purchased this shaver with a close comfortable shave in mind, and I am delighted. I have tried other brands, and none of them comes close to the Grundig Advantgarde 8875. I purchased a new Norelco awhile back, and sent it back, not close enough and uncomfortable. The Grundig is the best performing shaver I have purchased yet. I don't see any cons about this one. I'm just surprised you don't see them in stores.
